Concrete wedge anchor expansion bolts

Expansion bolts with a performance level of 4.6 refer to:

1. The nominal tensile strength of the expansion bolt material reaches 400 MPa level;

2. The yield strength ratio of the expansion bolt material is 0.6;

3. The nominal yield strength of the expansion bolt material reaches 400 × 0.6=240MPa level

4. Drilling depth: It is best to be about 5 millimeters deeper than the length of the expansion pipe. 

5. The requirements for the expansion bolt on the ground are of course the harder the better, which also depends on the force situation of the object you need to fix. The stress strength installed in concrete (C13-15) is five times higher than that in bricks.

6. After correctly installing an M6/8/10/12 expansion bolt in concrete, its ideal maximum static stress is 120/170/320/510 kilograms, respectively.

7. The expansion screw is composed of components such as a screw and an expansion tube. The tail of the screw is conical, and the inner diameter of the cone is larger than the inner diameter of the expansion tube. When the nut is tightened, the screw moves outward, and the axial movement of the thread causes the conical part to move, thereby forming a large positive pressure on the outer surface of the expansion tube. In addition, the angle of the cone is very small, which causes friction self-locking between the wall, the expansion tube, and the cone, thereby achieving a fixing effect;

8. The spring washer on the expansion screw is a standard part because its opening is staggered and elastic, so it is called a spring washer. The function of the spring washer is to use the sharp angle of the staggered opening to pierce into the nut and flat washer, preventing the nut from loosening;

9. A flat washer is also a standard component, and its function is to evenly distribute the pressure of the nut on the connected parts.

Scope of use of expansion screws

Expansion screws have the advantages of small drilling, high tensile force, and being exposed flat after use. If not used, they can be easily removed to keep the wall flat. They are widely used in various decoration occasions.
